About Wendy

Wendy Newman

Hi. It’s me, Wendy Newman.

I’m a media celebrated author and a dating, sex, and relationship expert.

If you’re looking for a short bio, click on my Media Kit above.

I have a vision for women: We embrace our true nature, honor our drive, our emotional side, our wild side, and all that uniquely makes up who we are. And in that knowing, we bring people and experiences in for a deep sense of freedom, power, connection and love.

A woman like you will find me because you’re looking for a guide who can give you the tools and the confidence to create a unique love life that’s congruent with the rest of your life. You’ll get those things from me, and you’ll also have more love of men, appreciation for yourself, and an overall sense of peace, hope and happiness.

Through writing books, articles and leading hundreds of workshops in the U.S, internationally, and online, I have taught over sixty thousand women to understand men, sort out what they need in partnership, partner well, win at dating, and free themselves sexually.

If you’re single, grab my free video series First Date Success Secrets Revealed.

If you’re coupled, check out my free Full Moon Ritual to help you talk about what you need in your relationship.

I have three “on -the-go” workshops: Two are for single women: One of which is to date successfully to get to your love, and the other is a deep dive into understanding what you need in a romantic partner. I have the “I want to understand my man and be happy in love with him” workshop for any women interested in creating a strong relationship.

If you love reading, I write books, articles, and a weekly advice column.

If you love to watch videos, I house advice videos on YouTube.

Basically, I do all I can to disseminate information all in the spirit of helping women just like you find love and stay in love.

My book, 121 First Dates: How to Succeed at Online Dating, Fall in Love and Live Happily Ever After (Really!) has been optioned for a television series. (We’re currently in what’s called “development hell.”) And it’s getting plenty of love from Access Hollywood, The Wall Street Journal, The Huffington Post, The Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Self, and more. I went on 121 first dates so you don’t have to. It’s the “anti-rules” dating book every single woman needs. Practical wisdom coupled with short stories of my favorite (and disastrous) dating adventures, 121 First Dates is published by Beyond Words/Atria/Simon & Schuster. You can buy it here.

This is who I retired my favorite, lucky dating scarf for back in February 2013, first date #121. We have created a life for ourselves that is by design, unconventional (we live in San Francisco, what do you expect?) and totally amazing. We’re adorable, right? –>

Over the past eighteen years both as a workshop leader, and in my personal dating life, I have interviewed thousands of men on women, sex, dating, and relationships.  I’ve conducted polls, had intimate one-on-one discussions, and have witnessed hundreds of panels made up of men speaking on these topics. Add to that extensive research, input from varied outside sources, and a good old-fashioned trial-and-error approach to sex, relationships and love, and you get me: someone with a broad base of knowledge in the area of partnership who’s full to bursting to share with you.

I’m passionate about people making choices from love and power instead of fear, and I want those around me to be free and uninhibited in their lives as they find their own path. Committed to communication and to people being heard and understood, I pursued my higher education at Vista College in Berkeley with a certificate in American Sign Language and Deaf Culture Studies (it only took six years).

I celebrate those emboldened to live their truth. I’m an advocate for love, LGBTQ rights, open relationships, polyamory, and kink communities.

I was also a senior workshop leader for Alison Armstrong and led two PAX programs for over a decade worldwide. Alison’s body of work is my foundation, and I’m grateful for all that I’ve learned from her. It’s part of who I am today.

Women who work with me say I’m clear, compassionate, humorous, and unafraid to be myself.

Thanks for getting to know me! Now, how can I help you?
